This 1.5 hour guided tour is most interesting for adults and older children (9 and up welcome). Learn about plastic alternatives and marine debris, and see how drones are used to map wetlands; get an up-close view of live animals in VIMS' Visitors Center; and tour our one-acre Teaching Marsh to learn about the benefits of wetland plants and animals.

Discovery Labs are free, family-friendly programs provided each month by the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (CBNERR) at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) in Gloucester Point.
