Flow Art: Swipe with Patrizia Giovanna Smith

Taught by Patrizia Giovanna Smith, a cup of many layers of scientifically altered paints will create a “Fluid Acrylics” painting on an 8 x 10 canvas in this “Flow Art” class. The science used will involve seemingly magical lubricants and various handling techniques of water-based paints. After using a “Swipe” pouring technique, no paintbrushes required, an incredible “lacing” or “webbing” effect will seem to have flowed over your “poured” canvas! The “swipe” used will have coaxed joyous bubbly “cells” to the surface of your Flow Art creation!

Your “Swipe” canvas must cure completely stationary for 48 hours at the Gloucester Arts on Main studio before it can be handled.
