April’s Exhibtion features Williamsburg Botanical artist, Juliet Kirby. Kirby grew up in England and studied fine art in London. She immigrated to the United States in 1958 and after creating four children returned to art in 1989 at the New York Botanical Garden. She graduated with a Certificate in Botanical Art. Each student will have time to perfect a hanging mobile made of metal. Tools and guidance from the instructor and plenty of studio time will be available. Poetry, storytelling, animal and insect inspired ideas are encouraged. Small metal shears, anvils, hammers, drill press, forming tools and rivets are provided.
