Gloucester's own Augustine Warner Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will have a bus trip to the DAR Library/Headquarters in Washington DC for a tour, research opportunity (time allowing), lunch at the Dept. of the Interior and dinner in Fredericksburg. An historically fun day in store! Reservations are first come, be sure to reserve well in advance, deadline is March 1, 2020 for all reservations.

Ghost forests consist of dead trees adjacent to marshes, and are a striking feature of low-lying areas of the Chesapeake Bay. Dr. Matt Kirwan will present his research on the topic, which shows that ghost forests are a prominent indicator of sea level rise.
